PARCC ASSESSMENTS – THIRD, FOURTH AND FIFTH GRADE:

Third, fourth, and fifth grade students will take the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) this spring.  This computer-based assessment is taken by all students in grades 3-5 in the state of Maryland. Each testing session is 60-90 minutes in length. Additional details, links to sample test items, and parent resources are available at http://www.hcpss.org/academics/testing/parcc/.

Testing dates are as follows:
Grade 3 & Grade 5:     English/Language Arts -  May 15

Grade 4: English/Language Arts - May 17

There is nothing you need to do to prepare your child for this test, other than ensure he or she get a good night's sleep and eat a
healthy breakfast on testing days. Please try not to schedule appointments on any of the testing dates. For students who are ill,
makeup testing will be provided. If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher or Mrs. Bialeski.
