Family File, Technology Log-ins for New Students, and Important Dates

Mon, 08/17/2020 - 9:19am

Dear Manor Woods Families,

We hope everyone is continuing to enjoy your summer and that you are staying safe.  We have been busy planning for the upcoming school year and wanted to share some important news that we have as we get ready for September.  Please mark your calendars for these important Back-to-School events!

Family File Opened August 10th
The 2020-2021 Family File is available to parents as of August 10th, when the 2020-2021 school year becomes the active year.  We anticipate that the HCPSS will require that your Family File will need to be completed BEFORE you can see your child’s teacher in Canvas.

Every year HCPSS parents must complete a Family File for each child. HCPSS utilizes Family File for parents/guardians to complete emergency information. Parents/guardians must verify and/or update information for each child, and can do so by logging in to HCPSS Connect and selecting the Family File tab on the left and then clicking on Family File.

Once logged in, you will be asked to update or provide the following information:

  •  Student Information

  •  Parent/Guardian Contact

  •  Emergency Contacts

  •  Medical Information

  •  Arrival/Dismissal Procedures

  •  Photo Approval Data Confidentiality

  •  PTA/PTSA Directory

Again, it is imperative that you complete the Family File in order to receive the name of your child's teacher for the upcoming school year.

Technology Accounts for New Students

Beginning August 10, 2020, families with students new to HCPSS and whose registration has been finalized will receive an email from noreply@hcpss.org with the subject “Technology account information for new HCPSS student.” The email will be sent to the email address used during the student registration process. The email contains personalized and important information regarding new students’ technology accounts. If you have a child new to HCPSS and do not receive the email and/or cannot locate the email in the junk/spam folder of the email account you used during registration, you can use the Forgot Password or Username button on the hcpss.me student landing page to retrieve both your child’s username and password. Directions for Account Self Service directions are posted online.  All students will need this log-in information for virtual learning and to attend virtual events prior to the start of the school year.
